The year of the Earth Ox starts on January 26, 2009 at 07:55 a.m. Universal Time. Also on the same day an Annular Solar Eclipse will occur at 07:59 Greenwich Meridian Time, which will be visible from Southern India, Sumatra and Borneo.
In the Chinese calendar this year is 4707, which in the modern Chinese calendar is the year of the Earth Ox. The Ox years are characterized as stable years with some good opportunities for better understanding among nations.
In order to do an analysis of the year of the Earth Ox we have to do some mathematical calculation to determine the outcome. It is important to start with the dominant element which is Earth; this element is very favorable for agriculture, communications and stability because of its static movement. Anyone born in the year of the Ox will be very persistent, obstinate and methodical, with leadership qualities. Sometimes the Ox can be very stubborn and difficult to deal with.
Once settled the Ox will not favor changing living area and travel is not in his/her agenda.
